The Village Hall is situated at Moorbottom, directly opposite Trinity Church. The Trust took it over on a full repairing lease from Kirklees Council when it had been more or less abandoned by them in an almost derelict condition. The Trust volunteers gave it a complete maintenance overhaul, decorated and refurbished it to a high standard.
Weekdays it is now used as a day centre for people with learning difficulties.
On Mondays, the youth club meets at 7pm; they also meet on Wednesdays at the same time. Rainbows meet at 6pm on Tuesdays. and are followed by the book club at 7pm Weight watchers slimming club use the Hall on Thursday evening from 4.30pm to 8pm and at 5pm every Sunday afternoon Elim Church hold their services at the Hall.
The village hall is a popular venue for private parties and is ideal for many other activities.
