MAGDALE
FIELDS |
The
Village Trust owns a large tract of land known as Magdale Fields, adjacent
to the River Holme. This is a popular beauty spot and gives
access to Magdale Dam, also owned by the Trust. Several
local walks start from this point including Holme
Valley Riverside Way. Magdale Fields also gives access to Stones Wood, an area of woodland adjoining it and which is also managed by the Trust. Local Youth Groups are welcome to visit and a Trust member is usually available as escort. Contact:- info@honleyvillagetrust.org.uk The upkeep of Magdale Fields and Magdale Dam cost a considerable amount each year although this cost is reduced by the number of willing volunteers who give up their time the first Sunday of every month. If you would like to help in another way we would appreciate your donation. Thank you
