One Donation Double the Impact

We are very excited to let you know that Honley Village Community Trust has successfully bid to be one of over 100 charities to participate in the Green Match Fund Campaign.

Launch day is Thursday 22 April (at midday) - World Earth Day - and all of the donations we receive by debit/credit card for a week until 29 April will be match funded up to £2500. So a total of £5000.

This will help us continue with our projects to improve the bio-diversity of Magdale Fields and Magdale Dam. These projects include:

* Setting up of a Community Orchard and Bee bank
* Creating wildflower meadows
* Tree management and replacement
* Water plants for Magdale Dam

All of this helps towards tackling climate change and protecting species.

2021 will be a critical year for the environment so please help us do our bit in Honley by donating to our cause and making twice the impact.
When - midday from 22 April until 29 April
Where - visit http://bit.ly/magdale2021 to make a donation. The donation button will be available from midday on Thursday 22 April.

Finally please pass on this message to anyone who you think might be interested in supporting us and having their donation doubled.

After a huge amount of work by volunteers and in partnership with Medicare Pharmacy and the NHS, the Honley Village Trust's Village Hall at Moorbottom opened its doors for the first time to offer a local venue for the all important and much awaited Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

When you get the letter from the NHS which invites you to book your free NHS Corona Virus vaccination appointment, you are directed to visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination. There you can choose your venue. If you can't use the NHS website you can phone 119 free of charge.
You may be able to book without a letter if you meet the criteria and know your National Health Service Number by visiting the NHS Website

You can also contact us locally for assistance with Covid vaccination appointments and enquiries by ringing or texting 07724 520227 - we're happy to help if we can.
