Bee Bank Project at Magdale

In the rain and sunshine our wonderful volunteers have turned out all week, dedicating their time and hard work to build the Bee Bank at Magdale The Bee Bank building is crescent shaped bank, south to southeast facing with compacted sand as the topping. Solitary bees create short tunnels in which the females lay their eggs. Solitary bees carry out a vital role in pollinating our crops, flowers and trees. This will hopefully help with the orchard and wildflowers. A huge thanks to Clare, Viv, Ian, Cliff, Graham and Steve for a tremendous effort, we wouldn't be able to do it without them all 🙌🐝
